    Very good

I loved the beach bures right on the beach. We could sit on our deck and watch the kids swimming in the sea. It was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The bures were spacious.

I think for the price I expected more. We have stayed in other resorts around Fiji for a similar price but they have been fully self contained. We stayed in the older beach bures for the same price friends of ours were staying in the brand new villa bures which seemed very odd as their bure had a tv, indoor bathroom and seperate bedroom.

    Exceptional

Location as it is away from both Nadi and Suva about half-way between. On the beach, very peaceful and relaxing. With direct access to the beach. The staff, amenities and food very good. Look forward to return visit. Very pleased with our stay as it is not crowded and personalized.

    Fabulous

Nice beach, cute cottage, great food.

Altho each cottage has its own bathroom, you have to go outside to use it.

Good location, gardens were well kept.

Poor maintenance, rooms are not clean and furnishings old and some are unservicable. Towels were dirty, Staff in general were friendly but receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpfull. Food was consistantly bad and resulted in mild food poisoning.

I just wanted to relax with a book in a laid back small resort after an adventuresome holiday in Tonga. The Uprising had everything I wanted and my short stay there was very comfortable and pleasing. I especially loved my little Bure and the beach was perfect. Thank you so much . Regards, Joanne Wyles.

    Fabulous

Staff was very helpful with checking on our scheduled program (arranging pick up, confirming our arrival with diving/rafting operators). All else was good, within our expectations. We were much happier with fish meals than meat ones (generally true for all of our Fiji experience).

There was a minor mix up of our booking - the staff interpreted the Booked.net letter as if only 1 dorm bed was booked, while we had 3 beds. This is equally the fault of Booked.net formatting of their emails, I had to look at it several times to make sense of the booking myself. As a result, we had to stay first night in different dorms. Not a big issue but when you book through Booked.net, maybe add a comment/note in which you again mention "so many beds are needed in the same dorm" to help the staff notice that more than one person is coming.

    Superb

Ocean side villa was beautiful. We could hear the ocean waves even when the windows were closed. Large back porch looked out to the ocean. Had 2 straight chairs and a small table. Would have liked to also have 2 reclining chairs. We were in the last villa which was nice for privacy . The rooms don't have phones in them so it was necessary to walk up to the office for any needs or questions. Not a big deal except I had injured my knee river rafting so it was hard to hobble up to the office. The concrete paths are very wide and would easily accommodate a golf cart to assist with luggage transfers or handicapped people. Had a wonderful massage in my villa. Wish I had done one both days that we were at the resort. The grounds surrounding the resort are very lush and pretty. Lots of activities offered. Open air restaurant was nice, food was good. Overall, we loved our stay at the Uprising and would highly recommend it.

Trash on beach after you walked past the villas.

    Very good

We only stayed 1 night but found the garden bure great and loved the outdoor shower. We arrived very late - about 8pm and very hungry - not having eaten all day. The best thing was the dinner - snapper and stir fry veges - one of the best meals we've ever had. The banana fritters for dessert were also good.

The breakfast was quite disappointing and not much variety at all.

    Superb

Excellent price for a brand new villa near the beach. It is close to jetski, whitewater rafting activities and shopping centre. The room and atmosphere is far better than that of the five star Sheraton.

The pool is too shallow and small.

    Very good

Great staff, very courteous and helpful.

Internet access was only available around the restaurant, so made it a little inconvenient.

The beach villa. The surroundings of the hotel is relaxing.

    1. The wifi is no longer free, it costs 17 fijian dollor for 24hrs, very low speed, it takes triple time to load a youtube video (iPad). 2. Don't expect too much variety in the breaskfast, you can find some breads and cakes (hard), artificial juices and some fruits (2 kinds), in fact, this is what I used to have in them morning. But what I am not happy with is the lack of cleaningness, and the lack of interests in tidying up a little bit. 3. From hotel to Nadi airport, the hotel charges 200 fijian dollars per trip, if you ask the taxi drivers nearby, you get quoted from 140-160. 4. Personnel is not so friendly as I expected, they are just "indifferent". 5. The swimming pool is much smaller than you can imagine from the picture, maybe 4 meter x 10 meters or even smaller, anyway, don't expect you can swim there.

    Superb

The staff were extremely friendly. Customer service was of a high level. Section of food was good. Lonisa Rounds made our honeymoon more memorable with her constant smile and high level of customer service. We were made to feel very welcomed and part of the family.

Cultural entertainment would have been good.
